so i thought the guy looked a tiny bit like john goodman (who is a favorite entertainer of mine) and said oh what the hell… lets make him a brute.

OH! actually, this is mailed in because the comic i was doing has stretched to 9 panels, which is like a week for me. due monday. yay!
so this is the little project which took up my time lately. i had to finish it because it was the creator’s birthday today, and it was intended as a present.

I was very fond of his latest comic’s cover, and thought it would be neat to use as an in-between point of realistic features on a very stylized character.

Harvey returns friday with the probable conclusion of his fight with hypnos.
whew. almost a day late, but i think well worth it.
yesterday i decided it would be awesome to make a quick sketch model of hypnos, who i think is one of the more interesting characters i’ve drawn for this comic. so a few hours of work later, and low and behold, i liked it so much i fancied it up and made a pose. few more hours later, i have ran 20 or so passes in photoshop with different renderings and poses till this one pretty much captured hypnos as we know him so far.
there will probably not be a comic friday, due to another project deadline closing fast.
plus i’m super proud of how this one turned out.
